Scrap Party for Greenbrook Elementary

We had our scrap party for the Greenbrook Elementary auction fundraiser this Saturday. It was a fun and the eleven 2nd grade girls that came had a blast making their scrapbooks.

Here is the scrapbook I made as an example:

It was made out of handled paper bags and looked like a purse when it's closed. So cute!

Here's a photo of the girls holding their scrapbooks at the party. They were so proud!

Here are some of the shots I took of the girls' scrapbooks as they worked on them:

It was a great party! I had a blast and I think they did too!
Thanks for looking!

Name Signs Galore! And Much Much More!

I've been super busy making name signs for customers on ETSY! I would love to share a few of them for you here:

I have also been making some fun projects on the side. Check them out!

These were zipper pulls for the kids' backpacks that I made to use for the party favors for my son's birthday party. He loves the Skylanders video game and there aren't many things available with that theme. So I made them myself, of course!

Then, there were my daughter's (Stephanie's) birthday party bags:
She had a Hello Kitty theme. These were the prototypes. Here are the ones I actually used:
Then there were the owl themed party bags and thank you notes for 24 of my 2 year old niece's (Lyla's)
closest friends;)

My sister-in-law, Becca, helped me assemble the bags. Thanks Becca!

Let's not forget the cub scouts now shall we?
This is my son, Bradley, and husband, Matt, posing behind the banner I made.  It says, "Tiger Pride" and features a really cute tiger die cut in the middle!
Now let's see, what else did I make recently?

Oh yeah, I designed a scrapbook made out of handled paper bags! This little album features the lovely Carly and her BFF's! I designed it for the art auction at my son's school. I'll be teaching some kids how to make this at my auction class coming up in April!

I also made some cards for some of my Etsy customers to thank them for their business!

Hope you enjoyed looking and are inspired to make some paper crafts yourself!

It's Scrap Party Time Again!

Just thought I'd throw in a little preview of our next scrap party that my lovely mother-in-law Penny is throwing again this year! (http://www.pennywarner.com/)

I designed some cards to hopefully inspire lots of card-making this year:

The "Kraft" (brown paper-bag-looking) paper is big this year in all the crafting magazines, so I thought I'd give some of them a try.

I also tried some paper ornaments, but they were just ok:

In other news:

I recently made some cute stuff for my hairdresser, that I hope she'll feature and sell at her salon (DOLCESALON1@gmail.com):
These are the explosion albums that I make. This one features Katy at Dolce Salon's adorable daughter Reese.
I made this sign so it can hang in her salon.
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Scrap Party

My mom-in-law, Penny Warner (pennywarner.com), threw a scrap party. I taught everyone how to make a paperbag scrapbook mini-album. Penny opened up her home, fed us tons of yummy treats, and wrote a column about our day for the local paper. Here are some pictures of the Christmas-themed paperbag album and the women who made them that day. I'm so lucky to have a mom-in-law who does kind things like that for me!!! She's an awesome person. (And the paperbag albums were pretty cute, too.)
